Privacy Policy

This service is built on discretion. That applies to your data exactly as it applies to your appointments: I collect only what is needed to arrange your grooming, I do not sell it, and I do not share it with anyone who is not required to deliver the service.
Who this covers
This policy applies to resonant-dragon-defe9e.netlify.app and to the private grooming service operated by Crayton Private Grooming ("I", "me"), serving Chicago and the surrounding area.
What I collect
When you submit the appointment request form, you provide:
- Your name
- Your mobile number
- Your email address
- The type of location you would like to be seen at, and your neighborhood or ZIP code
- Which service or retainer you are interested in
- Your preferred days and times, and any notes you choose to add
The form also records which advertisement or link brought you to the site (campaign tags such as utm_source, and click identifiers such as gclid or fbclid), the page you landed on, the referring website, and the time of submission. This tells me which advertising is working. It does not identify you beyond what you typed into the form.
If you become a client, I keep a record of your grooming preferences (guard lengths, part, taper height, beard line) along with your appointment history and address. That record exists so the result is the same every time.
What I do not collect
No payment details are collected or stored through this website. When a request is accepted, payment is taken through Stripe, a payment processor that handles card details directly on its own secure page. I never see or store your full card number.
How your information is used
- To reply to your request and arrange an appointment
- To confirm, reschedule, and remind you about appointments
- To keep a consistent record of how you like your hair cut
- To bill you for services provided
- To understand which advertising produces enquiries
I do not add you to a marketing list because you submitted a request. If I ever offer one, it will be something you choose to join.
Who else sees it
Only the services required to run the business:
- The form provider, which delivers your request to my inbox.
- Email and calendar providers, which hold our correspondence and your appointment times.
- Stripe, the payment processor, which handles billing when an appointment is confirmed and holds the record of that appointment under its own security and privacy controls.
- Analytics and advertising providers, if enabled, as described below.
I do not sell your personal information, and I never have. I do not share client names with anyone, do not confirm to third parties that you are a client, and do not use client names or images in marketing without written permission.
Analytics and advertising
No analytics or advertising trackers are currently running on this site. No third-party cookies are set. If measurement tools are added later, this policy will be updated before they are switched on, and this section will name them.
The campaign tags described above are recorded only when you submit the form, and only because they were in the link you followed. They are not tracking that continues after you leave.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not become appointments are deleted within twelve months. Client records are kept for as long as you are a client, and for up to three years afterward in case you return, unless you ask me to delete them sooner. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can ask me to stop contacting you at any time. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights by statute; I extend them to everyone, including Illinois residents, regardless of where you live.

Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Your request is transmitted encrypted. Client records are held in access-controlled accounts protected by strong authentication. No system is perfect and I will not claim otherwise. The amount of information held here is deliberately small, which is the best protection available.
Confidentiality agreements
If your circumstances require a formal confidentiality agreement, send it and it will be signed before your first appointment. This policy is the floor, not the ceiling.
Children
This service is offered to adults. The site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Where I groom a client's child at their home, the arrangement is made with the parent or guardian.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting existing clients will be sent by email.
